Facebook Sizes – Continued

Let’s continue our quest of understanding and using Facebook marketing to its full potential!

Today, as I promised previously, I will take you through the Facebook Video Ad Sizes for 2020 Apps Images Sizes and the Facebook Carousel Photo Sizes. However I feel adventurous and will also add Clicks to Website Ads Image Sizes.

It can all seem overwhelming at times, however breaking it up in bitesize “information packages” can make it easier to grasp, so here goes!

Under your Company name tag and image your customers will be able to see your news feeds. Just remember that the desktop news feed will display 500 characters, mobile 110 characters and the right column 90 characters.

I always like to advice people to write the most important information within the first 90 characters, to make sure that your users/clients will have the most vital information displayed on all three devices.

If what you want is to create a lot of traffic to your site, then creating video ads for Facebook is potentially a great way to interact with new and old clients but also grab the attention for potentially new site visitors. Using Facebook video ad is a great and powerful tool to reach a targeted audience.

Some interesting facts using Video ads from Facebook:

  • 71% of people increased their online video viewing in the past year
  • Mobile-optimized Facebook videos lift brand awareness by 67%
  • Facebook video posts have an average engagement rate of 6.01%
  • 30% of mobile shoppers say video is the best medium for discovering new products
  • Facebook users watch video ads five times longer when viewing intentionally

f your aim is to run a campaign using more then one image, then Facebook Carousel Ads is the option for you. You have the choice of uploading two to ten images for your ad to scroll through. One of the bonus features with this option is that you can ad a different link to a different page on your website, for each image. If you are selling motorbikes and clothing, you can add a link showing an image of e.g. a leather jacket, to your eCommerce clothing sales page.

This makes using the carousel ad tool a strong and engaging ad format as you can combine images, videos and links.

Why do we create ads using Facebook? Well, the answer to that is quite easy, it’s to target your specific audience. It’s important that you know and understand how and what outcome you want from your advert, if not you might have spent advertising money for little use.

Do you wish to grow and audience with the help of your ad, generating leads, or do you have a specific product you want to promote?

Using a single image adding text is one of the easiest ads as it’s not very time consuming, its easy to set up and best of all, it helps you to build up interest quickly and reach a huge range of customers.

Text: The Desktop news feed displays 500 characters at most, 110 characters on mobile, and 90 characters as the right column ad.

Mobile news feed display: 560 x 292 px
Right column display: 254 x 133 px

It’s also important to remember that when you use an image on Facebook to promote your business with Facebook ad, the text allowed on the image cannot exceed more than 20%. This is being strictly enforced by Facebook and can result in your ad to immediately be denied and stopped once reviewed.

Next time we will cover Facebook Group Cover Photo, Facebook Event Image and Lead Generation ad Photo Sizes, so stay tuned!
